Becca Opal Highlighter: My favorite Highlighter

Hi Beautiful Girls, I purchased my first Becca Cosmetics product a few months ago after seeing NitrraB rave about it on Youtube. I'm here to tell you I haven't been disappointed. It gives a beautiful natural glow to my cheeks and brings so much life to my blush. I apply it with a small eyeshadow brush in circular motions right along my cheek bone and I slowly blend it downwards into my blush. I purchased the powder however it is available in a liquid as well.

My Wish List: Items I'm Currently Loving

A list of items I've been eyeing for quite sometime now. Just wanted to share.

1. Nars Sheerglow Foundation: My skin is a lot more tanned in the summer which results in my normal foundation looking to white or chalky during the summer. So I've been eyeing the Nars Sheerglow foundation and plan to visit Sephora very soon for a free sample to test the product before chalking up my hard earned $45.00. I'm interested in this product mostly because of the glow, as of lately I've been searching for remedies obtain a bronzed sun kissed look.

2. Glam Glow Super Mud: I've heard so much about this skin-care product that suppose to be great for acne and dark circles. It's made with charcoal as well and recently I've seen a lot of skin care companies include charcoal as a skin care remedy. It's also available at Sephora for $69.00
3. Mackenize Child Checkered Dinner Set: Omg I'm so in love with this black and white checkered collection. All of the pieces are hand painted and so beautiful. I have literally been lusting over this little set for quite some time and plan to purchase a few items here and there to start of my collection.

4. Pier 1 Hayworth Armoire: Although I currently have a armoire. I still lust of the mirrored Hayworth armoire from time to time but cannot justify the purchase. I do plan to past my current armoire to my daughter and that will totally justify purchasing this beauty.

4. ZGallerie Abigail Coffe Table: The missing piece to my living room. Although looking at it now I think it maybe a little to big but I love the clean-lined contemporary look.

5. Zgallerie Axis Floor Mirror: I absolutely love this mirror it's so grand and definitely a staple piece. I think I would hang it however rather than using it as a floor piece.

6. Zgallerie Raya Vase: I don't know what my obsession with black and white is but this vase is everything and currently on sale..

Mac Must Have Beginner Friendly Products

Hello beautiful girls, I decided to compile a list of my favorite Mac products that I've purchased several times. The idea behind this post is that going to any department store counter can be a bit overwhelming. Hopefully, this post can help someone become a tad bit familiar with Mac's products. The items that will be discussed are products that I love and use on a daily basis.

1. Mac Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation: I have been using this liquid foundation for years and I absolutely love it. First a liquid foundation is best for me because it provides a full coverage. I suffer from dark circles and spots so I need a liquid to even out my completion.

2. Mac Mineralize Skin-finish Powder: Whenever you are applying a liquid foundation or concealer its always essential to set it with a powder to lock in the liquid.  I absolutely love the mineralize skin-finish although it is a newbie that was recently added to my routine it was definitely the missing piece to the puzzle.

3. Mac Pro-Longwear Concealer: If you don't purchase anything else on this list and if you are searching for the perfect concealer please try this product. Concealers are used to cover up dark spots or blemishes to even out your complexion. I also use it to disguise my under eye circles.

4. Mac Prep+Prime: If you think of applying make-up like painting you will know that a primer is a must. I happen to love Mac's primer because it provides a luminous glow and assists with providing a base for your make-up to glide on perfectly.

5. Mac Pro long-wear paint pot: I use the paint pot as a primer for my eyeshadows it provides a base for your eyeshadows to prevent creasing and to allow the colors to pop and appear more vibrant.

6. Mac Fix+: I use this liquid as a setting spray it can be applied before or after your apply make-up. I also use this to wet my eyeshadows.

7.  Mac 217 Blending Brushes: I purchased this brush years ago and still use it everyday. It is the perfect blending brush to blend out those harsh eyeshadow lines.

8. Mac 239 Eyeshadow Brush:  Perfect brush to add to your starter collection to apply eyeshadows/

9. Mac Prep+Prime Highlighter Pencil: If you are into highlighting and contouring this pencil is great to highlight those areas.

10. Mac Powder Blush in Blunt: I use this sometimes to contour with but I have a great e.l.f dupe for this product stay tune for my drugstore must haves.

11. Mac Dolly Mix Sheertone Blush: A beautiful berry-pinkish blush.

Mac Cosmetics Must Have Lipsticks: Beginners Guide

I remember my first purchase from the Mac counter. At that time I knew very little about the in's and out's of the make-up industry and purchased a simple eyeshadow. As I discovered the Youtube beauty community I quickly transformed to sort of a expert about make-up products. Therefore, my make-up collection began to grow. At that time, I wasn't really into lipsticks however, I loved lip glosses but as time went by I slowly for surely began to develop a love for lipstick. As a result, I wanted to share a list of my favorite Mac lipsticks.

1. Snob: This pretty and soft pink is a must have it's very feminine and girly and is considered a "satin" finish meaning it has some moisture and applies very easy.

Also try: Angel

2. RiRi Woo: I absolutely love this color. RiRi Woo is a signature red that debut with Rihanna's first Mac collection. The red is vibrant and looks great on all skin colors. The finish is a "retro matte" which is a very dry finish this color has no gloss whatsoever which gives you a beautiful matte or flat finish.

Also try: Ruby Woo

3. Violetta : Violetta is a beautiful vibrant purple that was initially a Mac Pro Color but Mac decided to add it to the website for everyone to purchase. The finish is "amplified" which is a creamy vibrant finish.
4. Up the Amp: This color is a softer more feminine purple and looks great on all skin colors. The finish is "amplified" and it applies on very creamy.
5. Girl About Town: A vibrant fuchsia pink that's isn't too bright but not too soft. The finish is "amplified" as well.
6. Cyber: A dark berry color which gives the perfect "vampy" look for fall and winter. The finish is "satin".

7. Candy Yum Yum: If you are into vibrant bright pinks. This is your color. Candy Yum Yum is a very bright and intense pink the finish is "matte" which is a very dry and flat finish.
8. Morange: This color looks great on most skin colors but it looks very good on women of color. Morange is a vibrant orange very intense and perfect for summer. The finish is "amplified".
9. Blankety: The perfect nude color
10. Rebel: I struggled with this last one because there are so many great lipsticks but I choose Rebel. The name describes it very well. The color is a dark plum, it's deep and rich and also gives a soft vampy look which is perfect for fall and winter.

Great Make-Up Starts with Great Skin-Care: Freeman Facial Peel Off Mask in Cucumber Review.

So I've incorporated a few new beauty items into my skincare routine. I've heard so much about this mask that I couldn't wait to pick it up from my local Walgreens to try it. I got it for about $4.00 and decided to try it for a week to give my honest review about the product. The mask claims to offer a super-cooling quench and peels away impurities the causes the skin to be rough and dull. The mask contains cucumber extract and aloe to soother and moisturize. I've used it four times since I purchased it and I have noticed that my face is smoother and softer and my break-outs have decreased but I'm not completely blown away by the mask. I find it very difficult to apply because it almost feels like glue. I also find that it dries my face completely out so you must follow-up with a moisturizer. When applying it be carefully not to get it in your hair because that can be a pain and also you have to wait at least ten minutes for it to completely dry for you to peel it off. I still like to follow the mask with a final wash of my face to ensure I remove all the product.
Overall, I do like the mask but I'm not completely blown away by it. I do plan to try the Charcoal mask and the blue one (can't thing of the name). I like that it's inexpensive and can be found at your local drugstore (Walgreens, CVS).

The European Wax Center Review

I decided to visit my local European Wax Center on Poplar Ave. The location which is tucked away in a shopping center but still visible from the road. I was introduced to the wax center through instagram (the power of social media) and was interested initially in a Brazilian wax but couldn't conjure up the nerves to get it done so I decided to take advantage of the complimentary first visit to get my eyebrows waxed.
I reserved an appointment online for my session and showed up a bit early to check out the place. I was warmly greeted and ask if I had a reservation once I got checked in and all my information was confirmed (take your id) I was given a brochure that provides information about obtain prepaid sessions that will save you money if you go regularly it was no pressure but more of a informative pitch. Afterwards I sat in the lobby and waiting patiently for my 5:30 appointment. While waiting, I noticed how busy they were and was glad I made an appointment I also notice that they offer a skincare and cosmetic line of products. After waiting shortly I was called back my esthetician was very nice and walked me through the entire process. At European Wax Center they used a four-step method where they clean and treat the area before waxing, their waxing process does not involve strips so they pull-off the wax itself (pretty neat). I noticed that it was less painful than my normal nail shop waxing and they esthetician was so bubbly that I got so involved in our small talk that the process was over very quickly. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and told everyone I knew about it and also reserved my next appointment.
We decided to keep the natural shape of my eyebrows and just clean it up overall I'm impressed.

Shea Moisture Sheer Foundation Review

So I saw this foundation on instagram and decided to pick it up at my local Target. The Shea Moisture line is a cosmetic line that caters to African American skin tone. There were a variety of shades and products available and the prices are affordable. This foundation was $14.99 and I was in the search of another drugstore foundation. I choose the color Yasuni Honey which was the best match to my skin color (I'm a NW45 or 7.0 Mac MatchMasters) I've worn this foundation several times so I could give my honest review about it and honestly. It doesn't work for me. Lets go through the pro's and con's.

Pro's:

1. Affordable
2. Provides light to medium coverage but can build up to a semi full coverage with concealer
3. Provides a dewy look (if thats they look you like)
4. Can be conveniently found at Target

Con's

1. Product separates (although I shook it very well it still came out runny and watery)
2. Shifts across my face ( you have to set this with a powder)

My final conclusion that this is not a foundation that is suitable for me and the type skin I have. I like full coverage foundations that provides a matte finish. The dewy look isn't for me.

May Favorites

I decided it would be fun to share a list of items that I used excessively in May. As usual when the Spring and Summer like temperatures hit, I change-up my foundation routine. I tend to go for the "less is more" when it comes to the quantity of products I use on my face since I have very oily skin. My new foundation routine is really simple and light weight which is perfect for summer.

1. Urban Decay Naked Palette: When I first purchased this palette I thought it was a complete waste of money but it has became my favorite eye-shadow palette my favorite colors are Naked, Half Baked, Toasted and Sin (for eye ducts).  I honestly reach for this palette daily.

2. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter Pressed Powder Opal: This highlighter adds a beautiful glow to your cheek bones, tear ducts or wear it as a eye shadow. I find that if I apply it under my foundation it looks better on my skin.

3.Red Cherry Eyelashes #43: I have always struggled with applying eyelashes typically I would purchase the Ardell lashes but I decided to order a lot of six from ebay.com I love love love these lashes.

4. Nars Blush Orgasm: A long time favorite a top seller beautiful on all skin types but especially women of color.

5. MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NW40: My holy grail full coverage concealer love it.

6. MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Dark: The perfect powder and coverage for my summer foundation routine.

7.Buxom Lipgloss Sarina: The perfect shimmer lipgloss to go over the perfect nude lipstick. This lipgloss smells like mints and tingles on your lips. (May not be for everyone)

8. Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser: I really like this product it's similar to Benefit's Porefessional but a third of the price. If you have large pores it helps to reduce the look of them when you are wearing make-up.

9. Mac Enchanted Lipstick Aquatic Alluring Collection: My near perfect nude lipstick (I'm still on the hunt for the perfect nude for my skintone) .

10. Alien by Thierry Mugler: I absolute love this fragrance it has such a distinctive smell that is unlike any other perfume I own or have smelled. The fragrance is very intoxicating and I receive so many compliments on it. I find my self using it for daytime events as well as nights.

I know black women typically don't tan but we can achieve a radiant glow. To achieve this glow I use the above products.

11. Vaseline Cocoa Butter: I don't use a lot but it gives me a nice luster.

12. MAC To The Beach Body Oil: I found this at the CCO in Allen Texas. I really wished I purchased two. It gives me the perfect glow with a hint of bronzing shimmer.

13. Pure Paradise Body Lotion: I use this mostly to work everything in and to distribute it evenly plus is smells like great.

14. L.A. Colors sent me their Color Craze Nail Polishes. My absolute favorite color for Summer and Spring is white. Therefore I choose their Energy Source (white) which is a gorgeous alpine white.
Colors Shown (left to right) Energy Source, Flicker, Mint, Atomic, Mega Watt, and Fuel. You can find these at you local K-Mart.

15. The Michealik: I've been on the hunt for the perfect red bag and I found it. I found this gem at Aldo and I'm really impressed with the quality and structure of the bag.  It's similarities to the Celine bag is the icing on the cake since I've been on the wait list for months at Nordstorm's. The zippers on the side adjust to make the hand bag smaller. I love the zipper in the front which allows space for my loose change. In the inside there is another zipper to allow more change and two compartments for cellphones. The handbag has plenty of space for me store all my items. I really love this bag. If you are interested in purchasing it you will have to go into the store it is not available online.

16. Ipad Mini Handmade Crystal Case: Although it took 50 million years to arrive from China I love the look it gives my iPad. I ordered this beauty from e-bay and took an entire month to arrive. Now I must be honest, it isn't as functional as my other case that has the stand and a cover to prevent scratches but I just love this one better.
