Plus-Size OOTD: How to rock a Skater Skirt

My husband and I enjoyed a very much needed date night with lunch at McAlisters and a movie. I wanted to wear something fun and flirty as we transition into fall. So I decided to watch my black skater skirt from Asos.com with my sleeveless mustard tank from forever21.com and pair those with my leopard platform pumps from Target.

I have been obsessed with ebay.com as of lately. With the season transitioning into fall I thought it would be nice to add a few pieces to my jewelry collection. I don't typically spend a lot of money on costume jewelry so ebay.com is heaven sent for me. Now I must state that it does take awhile for my items to be delivered and I do tend to forget what I ordered but it makes if feel like Christmas when I open my mailbox and I have know idea what's in the orange envelope in my mailbox. Shopping online is one of my favorite things to do I love the convenience of shopping online however sometimes finding a variety of plus-size stores can be a bit of a hassle so I decided to list some of my favorite stores to shop at online.

1. Asos.com

I love there curve selection and I love them even better when they have a good sale or promotion going on. This company is based out of the United Kingdom so just make sure you are on the US website when ordering.

2. Forever 21.com

Forever 21 has to be the most affordable plus-size store that I know of they have really trendy pieces but purchase them when you see them because they do tend to sale out very quickly

3. Dorothy Perkins.com

Dorothy Perkins offers classic pieces such as the classic pencil skirt great website for classic refine pieces and a few trendy pieces as well.

4. Newlook.com

Newlook is also based out of the UK so be prepared to do a price conversion from pounds to USD however very cute clothing for the plus-size diva from size 18-26.

5. Nakimuli.com

Nakimuli offers very unique pieces ladies ever been to an event and everyone has the same dress. This hidden gem offers one of a kind selections for plus-size divas.

OOTD Peplum Top and Bodycon Skirt

Today I wanted to rock my bodycon skirt and decided to pair it with my polka dot peplum top from Asos.com as of lately I have been stalking that website I love the trendy and chic selections they provided for plus-size diva's and they are affordable. I purchased my bodycon skirt from Forever 21 and paired it with my three link bib necklace that was purchased from Forever 21 as well. I kept the shoes simple with my nude wedges from Aldo.com you can never go wrong with a pair of nude shoes. Enjoy.

How to wear high-low skirts for curvy divas

So I wanted to share a few tips for styling the high-low trend skirt. I purchased my Lauren Conrad mint blue high low skirt from Kohls back in July but was really apprehensive on how to style this skirt. Since I would only be running errands today I decided to dress the skirt down by pairing it with a classic white tank from Old Navy. However, if I wanted to turn it to a night time look I could've simply paired it with a classier sleeveless chiffon top in white or off white. There are so many ways to style the high-low look but being plus-size it may be a little harder to create a waist line. For me the best way to create a more defined waist line is to simply add a belt to bring in the waist. If you are a shorter diva with a shorter I would recommend the skinny belts. For taller amazon's (like me) a oversize belt or skinny belt will do. If you are not afraid to show a bit of skin a cute crop top can shirt or bodysuit can make a high-low skirt fun and flirty. For my OOTD I paired my skirt with the DesertRose Necklace from Jewelmint.com the Hernia nude wedges are from Aldo.com and the hot pink Law handbag from Justfab.com adds the perfect pop of color.

Memorial Day OOTD

I really wanted to wear my inspired Jeffery Campbell Booties for Memorial Day. I knew it would be the perfect holiday to pay homage to our troops, veterans and deceased love one's. I didn't want to be too "matchy matchy" so I wore a white tank and paired it with a white vest. I decided to break out my red skinny jeans I purchased from forever 21, these were the first pair of pants that I've purchased from their plus-size collection and I was pleased. My purse is from my boutique www.alyssacloset.com I've had it over a year and decided to keep it for myself. I'm really glad I did because I love it and get so many compliments on it....and of course the shoes were the statement piece drawing your eyes down to my feet. I must say these shoes were very uncomfortable I can only hope the real Jeffery Campbell's aren't. It felt as if I was walking on wood planks....very very uncomfortable.
